EZ importer provides at set of downloadable CSV templates that can help you get started.  These templates are designed for customers who aren't migrating from another platform.  The templates are built from scratch by our team based on popular import types we've seen over the years. 

Download Template Only

If you want to download just the template (the CSV file with the header row only) you can do so from the CSV Templates menu option.  This is ideal if you're looking to manually add orders to a CSV file or if you have a process that populates a CSV file with your order data. 

We've tried to make the template headers as descriptive as possible.  Before downloading the CSV template you can review the template headers and look at a description of which order field should be added to which column by clicking the View Fields link in the Downloadable CSV Template table.

To download a CSV Template click the Download button and select the Template Only option.  Alternatively, if you want to download the template with sample data you can click the With Sample Data option on the Download button dropdown.

Each template has two types of files associated with them; a CSV file with just the header row and a CSV file with sample data.  The CSV file with sample data has been configured by our team to give you an idea of what your order data would look like when using the template. 

When reviewing the sample data for each file, you'll notice the orders are complete for that template.  The transaction data (if provided) will properly sum up the order values taking into account any taxes, shipping costs, etc if they are provided in the template.  The CSV templates with sample data are built so you can run a test to see what your order would look like if you used that template. 

If the template and the sample data fit your needs, you can now create a data mapping for that CSV template by clicking the Create Data Mapping button.

This will create the data mapping with the fields mapped to the columns in the template you've selected.

Some of the templates may have some configurable options setup.  We've setup reasonable defaults based on the template, so you should review the configurable options before running your import to make sure they fit your needs.  The Create Data Mapping feature makes the mapping part of the process a lot easier, but we encourage you to review the rest of the configuration to ensure it fits your specific use-case.
