When importing orders if you pass a negative number or a word to a Shopify field that requires a number you'll get an error. The error message will tell you which Shopify field has the error in it.

Shopify only allows you to provide positive numbers with numeric fields. Shopify does this because they do the subtraction for you when applying the value to the order total. For more details about how Shopify calculates the order click here.

This happens mostly with the discount amount. If you are providing a discount amount with your import make sure to pass in a positive number.

If you get an error because you have passed a value in with parentheses or with a negative number, edit your CSV file to remove them from the appropriate cells and reupload your import.
