My Order was Imported but the address is not showing.

When importing shipping and billing addresses with your orders, Shopify will "fail silently" if there are any problems with your billing or shipping address. This means the order will be imported but the order's shipping and/or billing address will not show up.

If you're importing your orders and your billing and/or shipping address is not showing up, check the following data:

  1. The first thing to look at is the country field. This field needs to be populated and you should use the two digit country code. You can find the countries two digit country code here. We realize this isn't ideal as the system you've exported from may not abide by this. Unfortunately this is a validation done by Shopify, which we have to control over.
  2. The next thing to check is the name field. Shopify requires us to provide this field or the address will fail. You MUST have a value in this field, if you import your address with a blank name field the address will not show up on the order. If your export does not have a name field, you can use this excel formula to concatenate the first name and last name fields (assuming you have these in your CSV file). You should also know that the value you put in the name field will override the existing customer name if you have the order associated with a customer.

If you continue to have issues with the shipping and/or billing addresses not showing up you can contact us here.
