How can I split up my Shopify order export based on the line item's assigned fulfillment location?

If you need to create separate CSV or Excel exports based on a line item's assigned location, you can use the Custom Filters option in EZ Exporter.

For example, you can create an export template for line items to be fulfilled from Warehouse A and another template from Warehouse B.  You can also configure them to be sent to different destinations (such as different email addresses, FTP servers, etc.).

This is very handy if you use multiple 3PLs/dropshippers and where orders in your store can contain multiple line items/products to be fulfilled by different 3PL providers.

In the Data Settings, under Custom Filters, you can filter by the field Lineitem Fulfillment Orders Assigned Location Names like this:

  • Lineitem Fulfillment Orders Assigned Location Names contains Warehouse A

By default, each line item row will have the order-level data repeated (such as the customer and shipping info).  This way, the CSV or Excel file will only contain the line items matching the filters, but will still have the necessary order-level data for fulfillment.

You can then duplicate this Data Settings and simply adjust the filter for the other locations.
