How to export data from Shopify to an SFTP server

EZ Exporter can generate CSV or Excel files containing your Shopify data and push them directly to an SFTP server.

1. In the Export Profile settings, scroll down to the Destination section.

2. Under Type, select SFTP (SSH).

3. You'll then be provided with additional options as shown below:

  • Host: This is the SFTP server's address which can be the full public hostname with the domain or an IP address.  By default, the standard SFTP port 22 will be used but you can specify a different port as well by appending it to the host address preceded by a colon (e.g. ftp.highviewapps.com:2222 or 1.2.3.4:8182).
  • Folder path: The path to the folder/directory where to upload the file to.  If you'd like to upload to the "root" path, simply enter /.
  • Username: The username to use to log in to the SFTP server.
  • Password: The password to authenticate to the SFTP server.
  • Use a Private Key to authenticate: Tick this box if your SFTP server requires authentication via a private key instead of a regular password.  You can paste the private key in the textbox below this option.  Please note that we only support RSA private keys.

If your SFTP server requires IP whitelisting, you can find a list of IP addresses our app uses here.
