How to export data from Shopify to an FTP server

EZ Exporter can generate CSV or Excel files containing your Shopify data and push them directly to an FTP server.

1. In the Export Profile settings, scroll down to the Destination section.

2. Under Type, select FTP.

3. You'll then be provided with additional options as shown below:

  • Host: This is the FTP server's address which can be the full public hostname with the domain or an IP address.  By default, the standard FTP port 21 will be used but you can specify a different port as well by appending it to the host address preceded by a colon (e.g. ftp.highviewapps.com:2121 or 1.2.3.4:8888).
  • Folder path: The path to the folder/directory where to upload the file to.  If you'd like to upload to the "root" path, simply enter /.
  • Username: The username to use to log in to the FTP server.
  • Password: The password to authenticate to the FTP server.
  • Use TLS: Tick this box if your FTP server requires TLS encryption.  Please note that we only support TLS 1.2 or higher as older versions of TLS are no longer considered secure.

If your FTP server requires IP whitelisting, you can find a list of IP addresses our app uses here.
