When using EZ Exporter to export Shopify data to Excel, we highly recommend the newer Excel 2007 or later (XLSX) format.

If you really need to use the older Excel 97-2003 (XLS) format, please be aware of the following limitations which could cause an export to fail:

• Maximum rows: 65,536
• Maximum columns: 256
• Maximum characters per cell: 32,767 (fields such as the product description/body HTML can contain a lot of characters)
• Maximum file size: 2GB
