What should I enter for the "Folder Path"?

When using FTP, SFTP, Dropbox, Google Drive, or Amazon S3 as the destination in EZ Exporter, you must specify a "Folder Path" where the exported CSV files will be uploaded to.

An example path is something like: /uploads/orders. By default, we set the path to "/", which is basically the very top level ("root") of the destination.

If you're not sure what to enter here, please see the tips below. Also note that folder paths are case-sensitive.

FTP & SFTP

This is normally provided to you by the person who created your FTP/SFTP account. So if you're not sure what to enter here, we recommend to ask the person who gave you the FTP/SFTP credentials as most FTP/SFTP servers have specific folder permissions per account.

The folder path must already exist on the server before our app can upload files to it (i.e. our app won't automatically create the folders).

Dropbox

With Dropbox, our app will automatically create the folder path if it doesn't already exist. So if you enter something like /orders as the folder path, our app will create a folder called "orders" in your Dropbox account and the exported files will be uploaded inside this folder.

Please note that our app will only work with regular Dropbox folders or Shared Folders, it won't work with Team Folders.

Amazon S3

With our Amazon S3 integration, the files will be exported inside the S3 Bucket you've selected and the folders will be created automatically inside the bucket.

For example, if you enter /exports/orders/daily as the folder path, you will see a folder called "exports", then "orders" inside that folder, and then another folder called "daily" where the exported files will be uploaded to.

S3 objects created by our app will be private by default.  To make the entire S3 bucket (or specific subfolders) and all its content public, you can use S3 bucket policies via the AWS S3 console.
