Clicking the "Run" button will send the report to the destination specified in the Export Profile settings.

Clicking "Download", on the other hand, will download the file directly via your web browser once the report generation task has completed.  If you only need to do manual downloads, then the "Destination > Type" setting in the Export Profile settings can be blank as well.
