Delete Individual Orders Imported With EZ Importer

When importing orders into Shopify with EZ Importer, whether it's from another platform or from orders you've taken at your Brick and Mortar store, it's tough to get all of the data aligned.  There are so many different data points and sometimes you may notice problems with the data in you've import after it's been imported.  Becuase of this, we try and make it as easy as possible to remove orders you've imported.

We even add the credits used from your import back to your credit bank so you don't have to worry about your costs getting out of hand just because you noticed a mistake.  The migration process can be time consuming and stressful and our goal is to make the process a little easier.

In the past we've only allowed you to delete the entire import.  This works for the majority of cases but a lot of Shopify merchants have asked us to delete a subset of their orders.  Prevously, we've had to tell them the only thing they can do is delete the entire order.  As of today, we're excited to let you know that you can now delete a subset of orders that you've imported.

Deleting Individual Orders

Deleting individual orders from your import is pretty straight forward.  We've created a new page called the Import Log which allows you to review all of the orders you've imported.  At this time it displays the order number, the status of the order and a message associated with that order.

To get to this page click the View Import Log button to the right of the Imported Data table on the Review Import page.  This button is only displayed for orders that are imported or partially imported.

From here you can now look over the orders that have been imported and select which orders you'd like to delete from Shopify.  Remember, the same rules apply to deleting individual orders as deleting an entire import.  The orders also need to be in Shopify so don't delete them using the Shopify admin, EZ Importer will do this for you.

Once you've selected the orders you want to delete, click the red Delete Selected Orders button on the top right hand side of the page.  All successfully deleted orders will have their credits added back to your credit bank.  This way you can ensure the data is accurate when you finish your final import.

We hope this will help make importing orders into Shopify a little easier and hopefully it'll give you a level of comfort that your data will be correct once you've completed your import.
