We've recently pushed an update to EZ Importer that makes mapping your CSV file to shopify fields easier. This new update will allow you to map your CSV file headers to Shopify import fields directly. This has been a pain point for many of our customers so we've decided to stream line the process to make it easier.

You're now able to create a data mapping based on the file you want to import. All you need to do is click the "Import Orders" button on the EZ Importer page. The same dialog box will popup but now you will see a new option, "Add New Mapping". If you have existing data mappings this will be the last item in the "Data Mappings" drop down menu.

From here you can give your import a name and select the file. Once you've selected the file you want to import click the "Review Import" button. This will bring you to the "Data Mappings" page that will have pre-populated menu items based on the file you want to import.

Now you can easily select the fields you want to map in your CSV file instead of having to go back and forth between the CSV file and EZ Importer. We also have a search bar at the top of the drop down menu so you can search the fields in the CSV. Just start typing the name of the field and the drop down menu will find the fields for you. Once you've selected the fields you want to import, click the "Continue" button on the bottom.

This will read your input file and bring you to the "Review Import Order" page. Here you can review the rows that you would like to import and start your import by clicking the "Import" button on the bottom of the page.

Once you've created the new data mapping you can use it with future orders. The next time you click the "Import Orders" button you will see the newly created data mapping in the "Data Mappings" dropdown.
