One of our customers recently contacted us to see if there's an easy way to copy the Data Settings from one Shopify store to another as they were about to create two additional stores and will need the same setup with EZ Exporter.

We can definitely see the pain point of having to re-setup all those settings as some of our customers have pretty complex CSVs with formulas and custom fields. Looking at our data, we actually noticed that we have a good number of customers with multiple stores and thought it's definitely a good idea to provide for them a quick way move their settings from one store to another.

We went a step further and instead of just the ability to export and import Data Settings, we included Export Profiles as well. All you have to do in this case is download the backup file from the store you want to copy and upload that file to another store and we'll take care of the rest in the background.

A few things to note with the Backup and Restore feature:

• You can select whether to backup just the Export Profiles or the Data Settings or both.
• We won't overwrite existing Export Profiles and Data Settings when restoring. If an Export Profile or a Data Settings with the same name already exists, we'll simply create a new one and appending "(restored on <timestamp>)" in the name.
• When restoring Export Profiles, we will automatically set the scheduling to "Inactive" for the Export Profile being restore to avoid unintentional report runs.
