Fulfill Your Orders without Column Headers Using EZ Fulfill

EZ Fulfill requires a header row as the first row when processing CSV or Excel data feeds.  The header row maps fields, filters source data, replaces values in your file and parses source data.

Not every feed is created equal, and many don't have a header row.  Getting your supplier or 3PL to change their format can sometimes be difficult because they serve so many customers.  Our goal is to make it as easy as possible to fulfill your orders without editing or making changes to your file formats.

With our latest release, you can now fulfill your orders without a header row.  To enable this feature, click the Use Column Position As Header Row option below the File Format option on your data feed.

When enabling this feature, the app adds a header row with the column position as the column name.  Our app does this "virtually," so your file and feed don't get changed.  For example, if your file looks like the below:

As mentioned earlier, the app will then "virtually" add the column position to the file.  The file would have a header row at the top with values from 0 to 7, where the first column is 0, and the eighth column is 7 (this is "virtual," and your file WILL NOT change):

You would then use the column position in the field mappings section to map the columns in your file with the appropriate fields in Shopify:

You would reference the columns in your file this way with all other configurations in your data feed.  We hope this gives you more flexibility when working with EZ Fulfill, so you don't have to try and convince your supplier or 3PL to make changes to their file format.
