EZ Importer: Built-In Data Mapping Templates Now Available
We're excited to announce our latest feature for EZ Importer, built-in templates! If you're a user of our CSV exporter app, EZ Exporter, than you're probably familiar with how much time this feature will save you.
To use the new feature click the Data Mapping Templates option from the left navigation bar. From here you can select a template based on what platform you're importing from. Each template was built based on the CSV export of that platform. Some templates are built as starter templates, which means you'll need to review the template after you upload your file. Starter templates are marked with a "starter template" tag next to the name. These templates are meant to help you get started as the platform you're exporting from has a customizable export. You can read more about starter templates here.
Each template has a migration document to go along with it. We encourage you to review the migration document of the platform you exported your orders from. Some platforms allow you to export the data in more than one way and our docs will help you figure out what format is best for EZ Importer.
Using a data mapping template is a great way to get started. It'll save you a ton of time and in some cases you'll be able to do your imports without having to make any mapping changes. This allows you to start testing your imports right away.
Our initial launch will include the following data mapping templates:
- Shopify - This will allow you to easily import your orders from another Shopify store.
- Squarespace - Starter template that allows you to import your orders from Squarespace.
- Kickstarter - Starter template that allows you to import your orders from Kickstarter.
You can patriotically check our migrations documentation to keep track of which templates we've added. If you're an agency and would like to have a default template added to our list, feel free to contact us about it.
